GoodWood Furniture was first opened in Charlotte NC. in 1979 offering the best available unfinished solid wood furniture. We have slowly grown to five retail furniture store locations in the Mid Atlantic region. Our thoughts and ideas have always gravitated towards a great treasure hunt for the most affordable, and best quality solid wood manufacturers in America and around the world. We have literally walked miles at furniture shows and retail stores across the country looking for the greatest values in real wood.
Sure we have, and still do carry some “Brand Name” manufacturers in our stores, but we would like to imagine our customers surprise as to quality and workmanship of the small family owned businesses that have been added to the GoodWood lineup over the years. Today we have supplemented our array of unmatched solid unfinished furniture with the best, and most affordable finished manufacturers to be found. The showroom floor in a typical GoodWood store has evolved to over fifty percent finished furniture, so we are in fact a “Real” furniture store, as our customers like to refer to us!
