Conveniently located on Virginia Beach Boulevard, we offer a friendly, state-of-the-art shooting facility for all skill levels, from the curious beginner to the expert marksman. Our first store opened in April 2012 in Richmond, VA, commonly referred to as Colonial Shooting Academy (CSA) RVA. In September 2012, Colonial Shooting Academy was named a 5-star shooting facility by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. This distinction made CSA the first 5-star range in Virginia, the fourth on the East Coast, and one of only 25 nationwide. CSA RVA is the nation’s largest indoor shooting facility. On May 17, 2014, CSA opened its 2nd location in Virginia Beach, VA!
Our goal is to provide a welcoming atmosphere to anyone who is interested in shooting. Safety is our guiding principle. It all starts with education, and it ends with careful and precise planning of every detail, from the front desk to each shooting lane.
Before entering the range, you must first complete a brief, 10-minute safety video that introduces the safety practices and courtesies we require on the range, from being polite to your neighbors to correct firearms handling. This minimum range qualification is free and valid for one year from date of issue. Additionally, we require that safety equipment be worn at all times, and that all guns and ammunition brought to the facility meet our specifications before being used on the range (please see the “range” page for further information). This means firearms entering the store are unloaded and in a case.
